ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) has secured a five-year, $184 million contract to help the U.S. Navy engineer ship combat management systems.
The company said Wednesday it will perform technical engineering work to support the Naval Sea Systems Command in managing the life cycle of integrated warfare systems for the branch’s surface vessels.
David Hathaway, executive vice president and general manager of the defense sector at ManTech, said the company will apply its experience in model-based systems engineering, agile software development, systems integration and continuous integration/continuous delivery to help the service defend against airborne attacks.
According to ManTech, the MBSE approach digitally transforms conventional document-based engineering processes to accelerate systems deployment.
